Weak high-pressure influence is bringing generally calm autumn weather. Initially, however, there is likely to be widespread fog or low-level cloud cover in the lowlands. These will clear at varying rates; outside of the fog, the sun should make a better appearance, and it will feel relatively mild in the sunshine. Temperatures will rise to near 10 degrees, though it will remain cooler in the lowlands where the fog proves more persistent.
