Description

The via ferrata winds its way past thundering waterfalls through the Galitzenklamm gorge at the foot of the Rauchkofel—not far from the Dolomite town of Lienz. Impressive views down into the gorge and the roar of the water make for a “cool” experience.

Difficulty: Several C-grade sections in the second section, otherwise B to C
Approach: Starting point: Galitzenklamm snack bar parking lot – follow the stream from the ticket booth to the base of the wall (see information board).
Descent: Back via the water trail.
