Our cabin is located on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park along the Venediger High Trail. Our sun terrace offers a fantastic view of the mountain world of the East Tyrolean Alps and far beyond. Let us pamper you there after a mountain or hiking tour with delights from our kitchen.

Surrounded by a ring of three-thousand-meter peaks, the Bonn-Matreier Hut stands at an altitude of 2750m. It has been built on a ridge that juts out southward from the Eichham group. Immediately behind the property boundary, the Hohe Tauern National Park begins.

The Bonn-Matreier Hut is an important base for hikers on the Venediger High Trail, and visitors to the hut are rewarded with a magnificent view from Triglav over the Dolomites to Ortler. Several three-thousanders can be hiked or climbed from the hut.
