The apartments Birnbaumer are located in the heart of the historic center of Matrei in East Tyrol – quietly nestled among the old farmhouses and just a few steps from the center. In the immediate vicinity, you will find the National Park House as well as the traditional Kesslerstadel of the Alpine Club.

Our house combines history with modern living comfort. During the careful renovation, great care was taken to preserve the original character of the old farmhouse and to complement it with high-quality, stylish furnishings.

Each of our apartments is individually designed and has its own unique charm. Local artists have drawn inspiration from the theme of "flowers and meadows" and the nature of East Tyrol in their designs. This has resulted in special spaces where regional ties, art, and contemporary design harmoniously come together.

High-quality materials, loving details, and furnishings in the upscale Tyrolean country house style create a warm and cozy atmosphere. A place to arrive, feel comfortable, and enjoy – in the middle of Matrei and surrounded by the impressive mountain world of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
