We are on the southern edge of a high-pressure system centred over the British Isles. In the mountains, the wind is blowing from the west, whilst in the lower atmospheric layers it is blowing from the east. The day will start off fairly cloudy in many places due to patches of high fog. During the day, gaps in the cloud and longer spells of sunshine will quickly appear over the valleys. It will become sunnier, but not too warm. Temperatures will mostly remain below 25 degrees.
