Description

On this full-day hike, experienced hikers can explore the Granatspitz Group and follow in the footsteps of those who crossed the Tauern Mountains. Of particular interest are the so-called “Schalensteine”—circular, palm-sized indentations that resemble small bowls and can be found scattered among the rock slabs near the summit. At the Hintere Ochsenalm, Tyrolean mountain sheep can be seen everywhere; they are brought there every year by farmers for summer grazing.
