Exhibition Simina Badea - "Erscheinungen"

A profound world full of archaic symbolism is what the Gallery in the Middle, Hopfgarten i.D., intends to unveil with its upcoming exhibition. In the fantastical cosmos of Simina Badea, allegorical figures unfold, nestled within meditative ornamental color fields. Engaging with Simina's work means pursuing the magical in life alongside her. In the search for harmony, gentle forms emerge, within which a variety of ornamental elements develop life and themes. In the latest series "Radiance," aesthetic patterns radiate outward on circular picture supports. Displayed irregularly next to and above one another, the circular images complement each other to create a diverse, poetic interplay. Simina Badea, born 1984 in Sibiu / Hermannstadt, Romania, studied graphic arts and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She has numerous participations in Austrian and international exhibitions, including in Turkey, Macedonia, and Japan. At the Gallery in the Middle, she showcases both colored ink drawings and acrylic paintings from various work groups, always marked by her patiently precise working method. As a chosen resident of Lienz, she is known in the district through exhibitions (Dolomitenbank, RLB-Atelier) and has also participated multiple times in favor of the Liebburg Advent calendar, recently for the renovation of the Michaelskirche in the Kunstraum Leibl.
